Privacy Policy

Summary

Your data exists to run your account. We do not sell it, we do not share it with advertisers, and you can delete all of it yourself from inside the app at any time.

What we collect

Account details. Your email address and a password, stored as a cryptographic hash by our authentication provider. We never see or store the password itself.

Profile answers. Information you provide during setup — goals, sex, age, height, weight, activity level, food preferences, and household size. These exist to compute your nutrition targets and tailor suggestions.

Photographs you take. Photographs of your kitchen, grocery receipts, and meals. These upload to private storage tied to your account and are processed to recognise food items, quantities, prices, and nutrition information.

Food and meal data. Your kitchen inventory, logged meals, nutrition history, streaks, and weight entries.

Basic technical data. Device type, application version, and diagnostic logs when something fails — used only to keep the service working.

We do not collect your contacts, your precise location, or anything from your photo library beyond the photographs you explicitly choose to submit.

How automated processing works

When you scan a kitchen, receipt, or meal, the photograph and related text are sent to Anthropic, the artificial-intelligence provider behind our recognition features, to identify food items and estimate nutrition. Anthropic processes this data as our service provider under commercial terms that do not permit using the data to train its models.

Recognition results are estimates and can be wrong. The application always allows you to review and correct them before they are saved.

Where your data is stored

Your data is stored with Supabase, a managed database and file-storage provider. Every record is protected by row-level security, meaning your account can only ever read its own rows. Photographs are stored in a private bucket scoped to your user identifier.

What we do not do

• We do not sell your personal data.
• We do not share your data with advertisers or data brokers.
• We do not display third-party advertising in our applications.

Subscriptions and payments

Payments are processed by Apple through your App Store account. We never see your payment card details. We receive only your subscription status — such as active trial, subscribed, or expired — in order to unlock membership features.

Retention and deletion

Your data is retained while your account exists. You can permanently delete your account at any time from within the application. Deletion removes your authentication record, profile, kitchen inventory, meal history, weight entries, and every photograph you have uploaded. There is no undo, and we do not retain copies beyond short-lived backups that expire automatically.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, including under the General Data Protection Regulation and the California Consumer Privacy Act, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to certain processing. In-app deletion covers erasure immediately; for anything else, contact us at the address below and we will respond within 30 days. We do not discriminate against anyone for exercising these rights.

Children

Our applications are not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes

If this policy changes in a meaningful way, we will update this page and surface the change in the application before it applies to you.
